Day 2 – Touchdown Singapore

Our flight from Cebu to SG was late at night, so we arrived early AM at around 1:00. My sister-in-law, along with her husband, picked us up from the airport. Changi Airport was perfect. One of the best airports I’ve seen in my lifetime.

We purchased tickets for our planned tour. My first impression of Singaporeans who sold us our tickets was they were super friendly.

Fast forward to the following day – we tried eating at a hawker. I enjoyed the experience, as you can choose from different cuisines. They have Chinese, Indian, Korean and other types of dishes.

Our tummies were full so we started our Day 1 visiting the animals at the Singapore Zoo. It wasn’t your typical zoo, because you don’t see animals in cages. They make the animals feel like they are in their natural habitat.

Chinese New Year setup welcomed us, before entering the zoo.

I took a lot of photos in the zoo, but I just like to highlight my favorite animal there. These furry critters are cute and funny. The oriental small-clawed otters are one of the zoo’s favorites. They’re very entertaining!

After spending our day in the zoo, time to go to one of the best sites in SG, especially at night – Marina Bay Sands. We really enjoyed the place. There are several architectural icons in the area including the Super Tree Grove of Gardens by the Bay, several skyscrapers, and the ArtScience Museum, to mention a few.

Overall, Day 2 was a success.
